Fall is about a month away and it’s time to start to transition summer chic to fall fab! For starters I want to share my latest look with you with exactly that trend in mind. But stay tuned for a full post coming up on how to take your most beloved summer pieces and transition them to fall!
The easiest way to transition summer looks and add a touch of fall is to throw a blazer over it! Since fall is still about a month away I am keeping the colors summery. Take your summer shorts, throw on your favorite summer top, pick one of your blazers to go over it and you have transitioned from hot blistering heat to being able to handle coolers temperatures. Crunch up the blazer sleeves for a relaxed look like I have.
A petite girl tip, the shorts definitely help add length to your legs! Make sure you wear nude pumps or booties and it’s a double win on leg length! The other wonderful part about the shorts is you can show off your wonderful summer tan for only so much longer, so take all your chances girls!
Accessorizing this look really depends on what level of classy versus casual you are going for. I have picked a gold necklace and cuff from Color by Amber. I have also used a lovely braided gold belt from Anthropologie to make the look classy and chic. This look is perfect for brunch or an evening party! The wonderful part about this outfit is that you can also add in a pair of leggings to take the look into a full-blown fall mode!
I am very happy that I did not buy any new fall items for this ootd. It turned out great with no additional dollars spent! A win-win situation wouldn’t you agree? Pull out all your shorts this time of the year and start to transition from summer chic to fall fab with them 🙂
Totally agree! Being able to style existing items in your closet and create fabulous outfits is probably one of the most rewaRDING things for us fashionistas 🙂 Good job and this outfit is absolutely outstanding! I would do a double take if I passed you by on the street 🙂
