The Stylings of a Blue Dress – Part 1

A blue sheath dress is such a great dress to have as part of your wardrobe. It’s easy to use, great for work ,a day look or even a night look. I am going to talk about the looks from business to brunch in this post and my next few posts.

I am wearing a blue sheath dress from J.Crew. This dress has the perfect fit, length and it is comfortable. All you need to get this dress looking like you mean business is a blazer!

Banana Republic Blazer

I’ve paired this dress with a Banana Republic blazer. It’s usually hard for me to find blazers since I’m petite, but Banana Republic is so good for petite sizes and they make it just perfect! I wanted to add a touch of casual to the business look, so I have folded in the sleeves on my blazer a tad bit.

In the winter this look goes great with a pair of Spanx tights. You need to stay warm after all 🙂 I am also wearing Banana Republic suede peep toe wedges. These wedges are good overall but I do wish they were half an inch shorter or had a little platform upfront so I could walk in them a bit more comfortably.

Kate Spade Satchel

I am carrying my Kate Spade satchel. The nude color compliments this look really well.

I am also wearing a Citizen watch. I’ve pinned my hair back and worn a pair of pearl earrings to finish off the look.
