I’m sure all my Chicago music lovers have either already gone to Lollapalooza, will be going today or both π I love it when two things I enjoy doing come together, music and playing dress-up! I am going to pull together a look for a petite girl.. here we go!

Music festivals are so much fun. You really get to bring out your creative side when putting together a look! I have a simple fashion formula for petite girls
Shorts + Funky crop top + Comfortable shoes + Boho bangles + Something floral
Now let me tell you why π
If you’re like me, every chance you get you want the illusion of long legs. I say illusion because lets face it, we petite ones don’t have those long legs! So the best thing for that are shorts! You want the high rise shorts. They sit above your navel. This way it looks like your legs are longer since the length of the shorts add to your leg length! I have chosen a lovely pair of Forever 21 shorts with a little lace detail on the side.
For my top, I have gone for a crop top from Forever 21. I love that this top has a little croquet detail and a lace up in the middle. My favorite part is the sleeves, I love the bell sleeves! They add a little bit of funky and a little boho-chic vibe to the look π Thanks to the high-rise shorts it’s not too mid riff baring either. I need to be 30 year old appropriate after all π
Earlier this year we went to Jazz fest. I assumed since I was wearing a pair of flats they would be comfortable. But they were new and silly me, we walked so much I ended up with blisters! Lesson learned. Wear a pair of tried and tested comfortable shoes! Trust me you won’t regret it! I would go for a pair of fun sneakers or flat sandals. This time I picked my pom pom sandals. I love that they add pops of color to this look!

The accessories part is always interesting. So many options, what do you choose? I say two things are a must, something for your arm and something for your head! I mean there are only so many occasions you can wear head accessories π I have picked a lovely set of bangles from Forever 21 with some tassel detail. For my head I am wearing a floral headband also from Forever 21. I am also wearing a connection ring from ASOS. Finishing off the accessorizing with a gold coin belt and a bag with ethnic detail was the right choice!
I am looking forward to my day at Lolla! Stay tuned for more pics on my Instagram account from my day! Oh and do let me know what you think about my look!

Wearing shorts as a short girl is SO hard especially with sandals, I usually only wear sandals if I wear long things but you pull this look off so well without looking short which is HARD to do! I love the color combo too xo
