The Lapel Jacket (Shein Collaboration)

This year is ending on a high with a collaboration I am very excited about!  I am doing a Shein collaboration featuring their Lapel Jacket. Read on to see how I styled it!

When Shein contacted me for a collaboration I was thrilled. I discovered their site about a year ago and introduced it to all my friends. They were formerly known as SheInside. They are focussed in providing the latest fashion trends at unbelievably low prices! If you’re a girl like me and love variety in your wardrobe without having to blow a huge hole in your wallet, this site is for you!

After being contacted by Shein, I was told to pick any piece I liked. The process of shopping from Shein consists of making sure your measurements match the ones listed for the individual pieces. The only downside about this site is that it doesn’t carry petite. But so far all of their stuff has fit me amazingly well. I am 5ft.

I looked at the measurements carefully and picked out this gorgeous suede lapel jacket. The sleeves were slightly long for me and so I had to get creative with the styling! But necessity is the mother of invention right? I loved this jacket so much I was determined to make it work!

I absolutely loved the color! It’s so great for fall and will be a hit this spring! Did you know that one of the colors in the 2017 Spring color palette from Pantone features exactly this color – it’s called Flame! So that inspired me to pull together a transitionary outfit from winter to spring.

Spring is all about light layers. So I picked a lovely J.Crew gingham shirt in the same color family but darker. This shirt was gifted to me by my mother in law and I absolutely love it! Getting back to the look, I layered the lapel jacket from Shein over the shirt. Now to take care of those long jacket sleeves, I folded up the sleeves and layered the shirt cuff over it! To finish off the outfit, I picked a simple pair of back leggings from White House Black Market for my bottom.

I kept the accessorizing simple, I am wearing a lovely pearl necklace to add a preppy touch to the look. My leopard print Kate Spade bag adds a touch of drama and the whiskey colored boots finishes off the entire look really nicely.

This is such a great transitional look. If it gets too cold all you need to do is throw on a winter coat, if it gets too warm then just knock off this lapel jacket and wear it over your shoulders!

All in all this lapel jacket is gorgeous. It runs true to size and fits well. It’s such a great piece for styling and will be great for spring and fall as well! So what are you waiting for shop for it here!

What a great transitional outfit – I’ll have to keep this in mind when spring rolls around – I love the way you paired such an edgy piece with preppy elements like that gingham shirt! Love it!

That jacket is just such a perfect layering piece! Light enough to wear on semi-chilly days and thin enough to fit under a bulky jacket should it snow. Lovely!

That jacket looks perfect on you! It’s so hard to find good fitting clothes at 5 foot tall! I’m the same height. 😉 Thanks for linking up at Bloggy Brunch!

You had me with that leopard print bag 🙂 and thank you for sharing this, I’m vertically challenged myself and it’s always harder to find well-fitting garments.
