Styling a Flounce Skirt

I am sorry I have been MIA for a bit but I am back after a 2 week trip to India! I was dying to put together an outfit to share with all of you lovelies 🙂 Styling a flounce skirt is fun and i’m going to show you how!

J.Crew Flounce Skirt

J.Crew Flounce Skirt

I bought this J.Crew skirt last month and couldn’t wait to style it. I finally got down to doing it and I loved how it turned out. This beautiful flounce skirt has a lovely neon floral print that’s so fresh and eye catching! I absolutely adore big floral prints for summer, it really jives with all the beauty that the summer season has to offer!

This flounce skirt hits at the knee and usually that’s fine, but for petite girls like me, you need to lengthen the rest of your legs. For that I like to wear a pair of heeled pumps and I had the perfect pair in a lovely blue shade from Nine West! The two colors are really striking aren’t they?

I picked a lovely blouse from Loft to complete the outfit. I wanted a simple blouse so that I could accessorize it. It was an added plus that it had beautiful sleeves! The top and skirt combination is simple and elegant!

Now for the accessories, I am carrying a lovely gold envelope clutch from J.Crew. I picked a lovely pair of cuff earrings from H&M and some rings from ASOS. The lovely Tory Burch watch served as my sole arm candy!

The necklace, I absolutely love this colorful statement piece. It really completes an outfit and is so gorgeous. I bought this piece from Ilymix. If you want to check out their amazing stuff head on over to http://www.ilymix.com/collections/ and use the code audrey20 for a 20% discount!

How to dress down this lovely skirt? Well that’s simple, it’s all in the top and the shoes really! I picked a J.Crew sunwashed top in a deep blue shade. The blue top really makes the orange flowers pop while taking the look from wedding chic to weekend brunch! Keeping with the casual theme, I have picked a pair of Frye wedges and a rattan clutch from J.Crew. These two pieces really complete the weekend day look. My final touch is an Anthropologie necklace! Can’t go to brunch without your favorite statement necklace!

You are looking gorgeous in that beautiful attire, skirt especially. The last pic’s styling worn by you, would have been a highlighter. But I loved it 🙂

I absolutely love this skirt! I have it too! I am 5’7 and it is sooooo much shorter on me- I love the way it falls below your knees. Looks super classy. The blue heels are a great pop of color touch too! XO, Tara

Love the blue and bright orange you worked in for both outfits! What part of India did you get to visit?
