Spring Time in Chicago

When your birthday is in April, you are really looking forward to Spring! The beautiful flowers, the sunny days and the gorgeous lake reflecting those golden beams! But this year Chicago gifted me snow, ice and some sun! So I dressed warm, but with some springy colors 🙂

My husband has been planning my birthday for the longest time and I was super excited! Dinner was going to be a surprise and brunch was at the Cherry Circle Room. I wore this cute outfit to brunch! This beautiful green dress is from J.Crew. I loved that it was slightly above the knee, fitted at the waist and was very easy to dress up or down. Given how cold it was, I am wearing a Loft cardigan over the dress. The long cardigan looked great cinched at the waist with a gold metal belt from SheIn. The cute little metal bow is adorable don’t you think?

All those pretty flowers that bloomed turned snow white in Chicago, much like my pretty J.Crew necklace 🙂 The snow on the flowers was what inspired me to buy this necklace. No joke! I picked my Kate Spade bag in a bright pink for a complimentary effect! The Kate Spade earrings in pink and green perfectly suited this outfit. I am wearing a pair of spanx tights and a lovely pair of peep toe lace up booties. Lace ups are really in this season and I plan to exploit this girlie trend!

Also, can I please rave about my new hair cut and color? I absolutely love my new do courtesy of Red 7 Salon Chicago! Sarah for the cut and Devin for the color were such great choices!

I would recommend this look for a spring brunch, although it’s a pretty great look for work too!
