I’m going to be honest, I love rompers! But if I’m being completely truthful I used find them really hard to style. So I’ve done some research, learned from my mistakes and here are some romper styling tips for us petite girls!

I am sure if you follow these romper styling tips you’ll not only find the perfect romper but also a great way to style it!
Accentuated and Cinched Waist
The first romper styling tip to remember is that you want the romper to fit you well. Make sure it’s not baggy, and try to avoid baggy jumpsuits altogether! Now with a great fit comes a good waistline positioning. Make sure the romper has a defined waistline and then go ahead and accentuate it! If the romper waist isn’t fitted then cinch it with a belt. Either way you will love how it looks if it creates the illusion that your legs are endless and the best way to do that is to draw someones attention to your waist! I have used a lovely little belt to do this π

Simple and Fitted Style
Like I said before, try to go for a simple romper structure and cut. Nothing frilly and flouncy and certainly no excess material. You want to try to avoid looking like a little girl and you also want to avoid the romper drowning you out. A sleek fitted style is the best way to go. Try and have the romper hit you a couple of inches above the knee for length.

Wear Heels
The best part about a romper is the way it accentuates your legs! So take advantage, go all out and grab a gorgeous pair of heels. This will not only lengthen your legs but it will also have your legs looking nice and toned!
Low Vamp!
Another pro tip to leg lengthening, always wear a shoe with a low vamp! Look at these Alice + Olivia pumps, the low vamp combined with the high heel makes my legs look 5 inches longer than they are! This makes my tiny little legs look long and makes me look a lot taller π

Monochromes Work Best
Trust me girls, monochromes are really the best when it comes to rompers. Well in general monochromes work well for us petites girls. The reason is that it creates an unobstructed line with the continuous color making you look taller and leaner. The other great thing about monochromes is that a romper on us is already a tiny piece of clothing, you don’t want to pack too much color into it and create a distraction especially if you want to look sophisticated!
Look for Classy
The last romper styling tip very easily complements this tip. Class up the look! Make sure you ooze confidence, elegance and come off very refined. This will help you avoid looking like a little girl! Sometimes rompers can make us petite girls look like school girls and you can avoid this by following this simple tip. I have pulled my hair up in a bun and done my makeup in a way to finish off my look with the utmost classiness!

Accessorize Wisely
Finally, what do you accessorize with? The romper is the center of your look so let it get all the attention! Don’t over do the accessories, this will also take away from the classy, polished look you are going for. Leopard print works great for a classic finish and so does a nice pair of earrings. Really that’s all you need to finish off this gorgeous look!

So there you have it, simple tips and yet they will go a long way in helping you have the perfect romper look! Happy styling π
