If you’re not completely ready to start the transition to fall here is one way to slowly ease into it one trend at a time. The trend I love because of its ultra feminine feel are ruffles. Ruffles were big on the NYFW Fall 2016 runway with so many designers bringing them to life! Fall ruffles are now my fav, check out this look to find out why!
When I found this dress I couldn’t contain my excitement! It met my 3 C’s for an everyday dress – Chic, Cheap and Comfortable! I really don’t like to repeat dresses too often and so when they are cheap I can own plenty. Variety is the spice of life right?! I will say though, just because it’s cheap doesn’t mean that I will settle for a bad fit or quality! The dress fit well, the material was soft and breezy and the length was just perfect.
When trying to style this I really wanted to keep true to the laid back fit of the dress. The ruffles already gave me some volume so I wanted to keep the rest of the look simple. Then it struck me, another trend on the NYFW Fall 2016 runway was Athleisure. Even though it dominated in Fall 2015, it still hung around pretty strong this year! The trend was perfect for the mood I was in and the style I wanted to hit. So I pulled out my cute Zara plimsolls. The dress was short enough to give me a good leg length even with a pair of flats. I really loved my fall ruffles with the flat lace ups!
A lovely pop of pink in the form of my Kate Spade bag helped with accessorizing and a gorgeous pair of mirrored sunnies from Ted Baker complemented the look beautifully. I am also wearing some adorable arm candy from J.Crew and a watch from Tory Burch.
This is the perfect look for the fall season rebel, it’s summery with fall trends so you can slowly transition!
