If you haven’t made it out to this wonderful Chicago restaurant yet you should! Crosby’s Kitchen doesn’t disappoint! Read on to find out everything you need to know about their delicious Sunday Brunch!
Crosby’s Kitchen is a cute little spot in Lakeview in Chicago. It has outdoor seating and a beautiful farmhouse setting inside. It’s a very kid friendly restaurant in case you are looking 🙂 My husband and I went with my in laws for Sunday Brunch this past weekend and had a fabulous time!
We started out with ordering a mimosa, a beer back bacon bloody mary and some coffee. The mimosa was delicious and the bloody mary although spicy was awesome! A we started getting into the menu we were spoilt for choice. There were so many items that made my mouth water!
We finally ended up getting some crab toast for the table as our starter. This appetizer was perfectly on point! With plenty of crab meat topped over some delicious avocado puree and finished off with a spicy pepper slice, the flavors were simply amazing! All out flavor energizer! I loved it 🙂
For my main course I was so torn with the options but finally ended up ordering two items, the lobster deviled eggs (yes lobster!) and the fried egg sandwich. But really the lobster deviled egg was an appetizer but this time just for me! When the lobster deviled eggs were served I couldn’t help but notice how beautiful they looked and honestly they tasted better! They were loaded with lobster and were very flavorful. I ate them all and pretty quickly 🙂
Then came the fried egg sandwich with a side of fruit. The sandwich comes with two over easy eggs, just the way I like it, layered with bacon, lettuce, mayo, onion, tomato and cheddar, honestly what’s not to like?! The sandwich tasted absolutely divine and this coming from a person that is not very into sandwiches! I loved it <3
My mother in law got the Crosby’s omelette and loved it too! With a mushroom, spinach, bacon and mozzarella combo, the omelette looked awesome.
All in all, the service was good, the place not too loud and the setting perfectly cosy! If these pictures haven’t convinced you that you need to visit Crosby’s Kitchen then I don’t know what will!
