The blanket scarf, everywhere you look it’s there and boy does it ever look good! Don’t you think? When I received my very own set of blanket scarves from Jewelrybean I was so excited. They were beautiful and I couldn’t wait to style them. But looking at the size of the scarf and my tiny size I knew I would have to pick and choose the styling so it wouldn’t drown me. So here are all the styles that suit petite girls like me ๐

9 Ways to Style a Blanket Scarf for Petites
I have arranged these stylings into 3 sets using this Blanket Plaid Scarf. Each set is based in how the scarf started. I will explain what that means ๐
Triangle Stylings
For the triangle stylings of a blanket scarf you have to start with the scarf folded into a triangle. The triangle could either be symmetrical (i.e folded exactly end to end) or non-symmetrical (i.e. one half of the triangle is longer than the other, the tips don’t touch)
Cowl neck withย Edges
For this easy style you have to start with a symmetrical triangle. Then center the triangle on your torso (as pictured) and take the left edge around your neck and over your shoulder and let it hang loose on your torso. Do the same for the right edge and drop it on the left side of your torso. Now make sure you have the ends hanging at about your waist (pictured).
Cowl Neck
Start by centering the triangle on your torso as shown. Adjust it to get it to where you want the tip to be situated and then toss the two ends over your shoulder. Now reach behind and knot it around your neck.
I didn’t bring the ends in front and knot it under the triangle to avoid bulkiness. The bess the better for us tiny girls ๐
Reverse Cowl Neck
For this start with a non symmetrical triangle to get a layered effect. Put the triangle behind you and adjust until it is of the length you would like. Bring the edges over your shoulders and loosely tie it. Secure with a safety-pin to avoid it falling off!

Reverse Cowl Neck
Cardigan Style
Start with a symmetrical triangle for this and do exactly what you did in the reverse cowl neck. Instead of knotting the front here let it hang loosely. Take a belt and belt it up . Now pull down the edges and pull the scarf up around your neck to give it a collar of sorts. This will give you a lovely cardigan effect!

Cardigan Style
Rectangle Stylings
Fold the scarf into a rectangle along its longer edge.
Tossed Over Shoulder
Scrunch up the rectangle and hang it around your neck. Pull the right edge to make it longer and then toss it over your left shoulder. That’s it ๐

Tossed Over Shoulder
One Shoulder Style
In this one drape the rectangle over your shoulders letting the front hang down in the front. Pull the right side down making it longer and delicately throw it over your left shoulder. Secure it with a safety-pin it you like to hold it in place. This will be a great stylish to cover yourself when you are cold and don’t have a jacket ๐

One Shoulder Style
One Tip Stylings
Pick one corner of the blanket scarf. Then hold up the scarf by that corner. Now you have the scarf in the right starting style to do the rest.
Pretty Knot
This one is slightly complicated. Hang the scarf around your neck with the ends falling on either sides of you in the front. Now pull on the right end to make that side longer. Hold the left end of the scarf and put the right end over it and take it around your neck. When you bring the right end to the front pass it through the hoop. Now pick the left end up and pass it over and through the same hoop pulling it to the right side. Voila your draping is ready!
Scarf Style
Hang the scarf around your neck letting the ends fall evenly at the same length on both sides. Adjust it so that the fringes show. Now put a lovely belt around it. That’s it you’re done ๐
Knotted Infinity
Drape the scarf around your neck. Make sure you adjust it with the edges in the front. Take that edges and knot it right in the center. Adjust the entire thing so that the know appear right where it is in the picture below ๐
